Flying Machine

 

This assignment was to create a flying machine based on a hybrid of multiple precedents. The precedents I chose were a paraglider and a glider. My kite went through multiple iterations, moving from construction in basswood to a combination of wire, basswood, and rubber. One requirement of the studio was for the kite to achieve sustained flight, which my kite did.
